As part of the effort to control the spread of the coronavirus, there are travel restrictions across the U.S. Borders Canada and Mexico. The United States will temporarily limit inbound land border crossings from Canada and Mexico to “essential travel.”

If you are a U.S. citizen or a legal permanent resident in the U.S. and are returning home, this restriction does not apply. 

If you are not a permanent resident or a U.S. citizen, they are turning people back, as they are not allowing vacationers, tourists, and visitors.
