This weekend we have three major events in three days. It will be a very busy first weekend in August. August has traditionally been packed with huge events and this one is no different. Starting with the Cruz Roja Fashion Show and ending with Sabor de Baja and with the Baja Blues Festival in between, it will be busy in town.
Starting off the weekend is the 44th Annual Cruz Roja Fashion Show luncheon. It is this Friday. Tickets are available at the Cruz Roja Thrift Store for $25. This year the luncheon will be held in the Salon Mexicano of the Rosarito Beach Hotel. There will be an auction at the end of the fashion show for all the clothes that has been modeled. And there will be lots more fashion for sale before the lunch starts.
Next up is the Baja Against Hunger Festival on Saturday. It will be an all day event. It goes from 10am to 5pm at Bobby’s By the Sea. Tickets are on sale for only $10 and a donation of food. If you are into music this will be the place to be on Saturday.
And on Sunday, the Seniors Supporting Abuelitos group will be having a fundraising brunch at Los Amigos.
The time is from 10 to 2 with a great variety of foods and a free mimosa is included. There will be live entertainment and a number of raffles with some very interesting stuff being raffled off.
Three great causes this weekend. Let’s support them and help them make a difference in our community.
Have a great week!
